Packing, the cozy way.
Packlings turns every bag your family packs — school, swim, weekends away — into a picture checklist you make once and use forever. Kids finish it themselves, and a little kangaroo cheers them on.
They pack it themselves
Big photo cards, a cheering kangaroo on the progress bar, confetti when the bag is done. Hand your kid the phone and watch the “I did it!” face — daily streaks quietly build the habit.
- Photo cards sized for small thumbs — zero reading required
- Joey rides the progress bar and hops with every packed item
- Confetti, streaks, and a proud celebration at 100%

Snap their real things
Point the camera at what you pack. Packlings lifts it clean off the background into a friendly photo card kids recognize instantly — because it’s their teddy, not a clip-art one.
- One snap becomes a photo card — the magic cutout does the rest
- Sweep a whole shelf with the multi-item camera
- Emoji and Genmoji cover everything you don’t photograph

A list for your family’s trip
Tell the planner where and when. It checks the forecast and drafts a weather-smart list — then watches the whole trip: a countdown and document check before you leave, gentle suggestions for what the bag forgot, and a flipped list at the end that checks everything back in, souvenirs included.
- A live forecast stays pinned to the bag until you leave
- A meter that judges by consequence — “everything but the passport” is not 96%
- Countdown, passport-expiry watch, and a forecast re-check as the day nears
- The return check packs you home — stash notes first, nothing left in the hotel safe
- Outings too: game day, beach day, picnics, sleepovers

A little room to focus
One familiar photo, one clear next step. Kids can hear an item's name, pack it, or leave a note when they need a grown-up. Switch back to the full list whenever that feels easier.
- Hear the name of the item in front of you
- “Pack later” keeps unfinished items on the list
- “Need help” leaves a note for a grown-up

Meet Joey.
He lives on the progress bar. The fuller the bag, the further he climbs out of his pouch — pack the last thing and he cheers. Kids pack for the little kangaroo long after the novelty of checklists wears off.
And every finished bag earns his wardrobe: scarves, hats, glasses, braids and whole color themes unlock as your family packs — each person gets their own Joey to dress. Nothing in the wardrobe is ever for sale.
A hop for every item, one quiet sparkle at the end. Never loud — this is a picture book, not an arcade.
More room for every adventure.

Questions, answered
Is Packlings a subscription?+
The core app is free: packing, Kid Mode, photo items, ready bags, up to three active bags, two kid profiles and your first trip plan. Optional Packlings Plus is an auto-renewing subscription at $19.99/year in the US. It adds ongoing trip and activity planning, unlimited bags and kids, Ask Joey on supported devices, and Packing Report history while subscribed. Manage or cancel it in App Store subscriptions. Your saved bags and photos remain on your device when the subscription ends.
What exactly is free, and what needs Plus?+
Free: packing and Kid Mode, photo cards with magic cutouts, up to 3 bags, 2 kid profiles, ready bags, widgets, Live Activities, Joey’s earnable wardrobe and themes, all 13 languages — and one full trip plan, weather and all, so you can feel the planner before paying for it.
Plus: the weather-smart trip planner from your second trip on, the activity planner, the pre-trip window (countdown, document watch, forecast re-checks), the return-leg check, unlimited bags, unlimited kids, Ask Joey, and Packing Report history.
Do I have to buy Joey’s outfits?+
Never. Scarves, hats, glasses, braids and color themes unlock as your family finishes bags — they’re rewards, not products. Wardrobe rewards never require payment. Plus purchases are intended for the grown-up managing the app.
Does Ask Joey send my questions to the cloud?+
Joey generates replies on your device with Apple Intelligence. Chat requires iOS 26.4 or later, compatible hardware and Apple Intelligence enabled. Destination search and live forecasts use Apple services online. Lists and photos remain usable when chat is unavailable.
Where do the photos of my kids’ things live?+
On your phone, full stop. Photos you snap for item cards are stored inside the app on your device. There’s no Packlings server and no account — you can also export a library backup or share a list copy. iCloud device backup, if enabled, is separate from live family sync.
Which devices does it run on?+
iPhone and iPad, on iOS or iPadOS 17.6 and later. You get home-screen widgets with one-tap packing, a Live Activity on the lock screen while a bag is in progress, and a Siri phrase — “Ask Joey in Packlings.” Ask Joey itself needs a device that supports Apple Intelligence.
Is there an Android version?+
Not today. Packlings is built natively for iPhone and iPad — the magic cutouts, widgets and on-device Joey lean on Apple’s frameworks. If that changes, this page will be the first to know.
Ready when they are.
Put a bag in small hands and watch what happens. School mornings, swim days, grandma weekends — packed, proudly, by the kid who owns the bag.
